This is payment, not charity

An artisan who sells through a middleman typically sees a fraction of what a piece finally retails for. We buy at a published share of the selling price, put the maker's name and photograph on the product page, and transfer their money directly — no cash intermediaries, no deductions for “handling”.

What the rest covers

Clay, glaze and firing. Packing that survives Indian road freight. Courier charges. Photography, the website and payment gateway fees. Caresoft Foundation does not take a margin on the artisan's share.

How you can check

Every product page shows the exact rupee figure that goes to the maker before you add it to your cart. Your order confirmation repeats it. If a number ever looks wrong, write to crafts@caresoftfoundation.org and we will show you the payout record.
