Caresoft Foundation Crafts dispatches within 2 working days and delivers to every serviceable pincode in India in 2–12 days depending on the region. Prices include GST and a tax invoice is emailed with every order. Breakage in transit is replaced free on a photo sent within 48 hours; change-of-mind returns are accepted within 7 days. Around 60% of each item price goes directly to the artisan who made it.
The Foundation and the artisans
Who makes the products sold on this site?
Every item is made by a named rural artisan working with Caresoft Foundation. The maker's name, village and district appear on each product page.
How much of what I pay reaches the artisan?
The artisan's share is printed on every product page — typically 60% of the item price, paid directly to their bank account or UPI within 15 days of dispatch.
Is Caresoft Foundation a registered non-profit?
Yes. Caresoft Foundation has worked in community development since 2010. Registration details are published on the About page.
The pieces themselves
Are these items food safe?
Items marked food safe are fired above 1,000°C and finished without lead-based glaze. Season a new clay pot by soaking it in water overnight before first use.
Why does my piece look slightly different from the photo?
Each item is shaped by hand, so size, colour and surface vary by a few percent. That variation is the proof of a handmade object, not a defect.
Delivery
Do you deliver across India?
Yes. We ship to every serviceable pincode in all 28 states and 8 union territories, including the Northeast, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the islands.
How long does delivery take?
Orders are dispatched within 2 working days. Delivery takes 2–4 days within Maharashtra, 3–7 days across most of India, and 7–12 days for the Northeast, J&K, Ladakh and the islands.
How are fragile clay items packed?
Each piece is wrapped in recycled corrugated sheet and paper cushioning inside a double-wall carton. We do not use plastic bubble wrap.
Is Cash on Delivery available?
Yes, on orders up to ₹5,000 in serviceable pincodes. A handling charge of ₹60 applies.
Payment and invoices
What payment methods do you accept?
UPI, all major credit and debit cards, net banking, popular wallets, and Cash on Delivery in serviceable pincodes.
Will I get a GST invoice?
Yes. A GST-compliant tax invoice is emailed as soon as your order is confirmed, and is downloadable from your account.
Returns and breakage
What if my item arrives broken?
Send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we will replace the piece or refund you in full. You do not need to return the broken item.
Can I return an item I simply did not like?
Yes, within 7 days of delivery, unused and in original packaging. Return shipping is deducted from the refund.
